COMMUNITY EVENTS
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2021 National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much more.
SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 5, 2021
Planning for 2021 National Night Out has already begun!!! We will post additional information as soon as available.
If you wish to be a sponsor or provide donations for the 2021 National Night Out,

Vacation Watch
The Snyder Police Department's Vacation Watch Program is designed to provide peace of mind to our residents while they are away from home for extended periods of time, whether for vacation, illness, work-related travel, or other circumstances. The Snyder Police Department will make periodic checks on your residence while it is vacant. Information you provide allows us to contact you or your designated key holder in the event that the residence may need attention.
The Vacation Watch Program provides an overall increase in police presence around your home during your time away. Due to call volume and unforeseen circumstances we cannot guarantee the safety of your home or personal property, but the Snyder Police Department will schedule extra patrols around your home during your time away as often as available.
This program is a public service to help safeguard citizens' property and allow for a rapid response and owner notification in the event of a problem.
