Joseph Martinez was born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas and moved to Snyder in June of 2012.  In his spare time Joseph enjoys fishing, hunting, and training new firefighters.  Joseph always works part time as a paramedic at Scurry County EMS.  Joseph began working for the City of Snyder on June 11, 2012 as a Firefighter.  Joseph was nominated because since joining the Fire Department he has been tireless in trying to better himself and the department, particularly in the area of training.  Joseph has taken on the primary task of rookie training for volunteers and has spent countless hours in that endeavor.  Joseph has a desire for improved training, safety, and operations and has had several beneficial suggestions.  Joseph has been extremely involved, enthusiastic, and busy in duties above and beyond the expectations of his position as a paid firefighter.  He prides himself in professionalism and improvement of the department.
