  • Provide a safe and healthy environment free from unsightly weeds and unsafe building practices
  • Maintain the integrity of the zoning regulations
  • Keep records of all building permits, plumbing permits, and electrical permits
  • Ensure that all trades people who work within the City are properly licensed and bonded
  • Review all neighborhood development, commercial development, and other projects 
  • Verify all zoning ordinances are in accordance
  • Maintain City Water and Sewer distribution maps, keeping them up to date with extensions
  • Keep records of water line breaks and sewer line stops and dispatch crews to the problems
  • Maintain and enforce FEMA Floodplain Regulations ensuring that any development in the floodplain is in accordance
  • Keep City maps current
